How We Make Your Custom Swimsuit

Here, I will briefly introduce our swimsuit development process to all our potential customers. Hope it can help new swimwear brand guests find ways to develop their swimwear line faster.

 

In recent years, the swimwear industry is a booming clothing industry. Of course, the same goes for swimwear manufacturing.

Nowadays, many people associate wearing a bikini or swimming trunks with a vacation - everyone wants to always feel like they are enjoying a relaxing vacation. Therefore, more and more designers want to create their own swimwear brands, but they do not understand the development and production process of swimwear, which leads to poor communication when they are looking for suppliers to make custom swimsuits. Here, I will briefly introduce our swimsuit development process to all our potential customers. Hope it can help new swimwear brand guests find ways to develop their swimwear line faster.

 

1. Sharing the trend book with you

Every year, our designers collect all fashion trends through various methods such as going abroad to search the market, online brand searching, WGSN fashion trend network, etc., and then organize them into our trend book, which includes color trends, print trends, style trends, and other accessory trends. We would share the trend book with our customers and get comments from them and keep improving.

 

2. Customers develop a concept

Customers would view our trend together with their own and create a concept they want. We will coordinate with them to go over the drawing, reference product, mock-up, or any other detail, it is very important to get the right from the beginning before the sample and production.

 

3. Create a tech pack

Once the concept is fixed, they will design the collections and create a tech pack for each style. This tech pack is the most basic information to follow the whole development and production procedure.

 

4. Material preparing

We will search the material according to the customer’s requirement, material including shell fabric, lining fabric, trims, etc. Once the fabric type is fixed then we can go ahead with the next step.

5. Create a paper pattern

This is normally what we do for our customers, most customers don’t have professional technicians, they can just fit the ready-made sample to make comments if it is suitable or not. So we do this for them. We will create a basic size paper pattern and make the size chart for the customers for checking when they fit the samples.

 

6. Sampling

When the material is ready, the paper pattern is ready, then we can start to make samples. We can create samples for free for our customers and normally it takes about one week to make the samples. Samples including proto sample, fit sample, Salesman samples, PPS, and shipment samples. These different kinds of samples go through the whole procedure when needed.

 

7. Sign off for the order to go for production

After approving your tech pack, samples and price, you are ready to proceed to the mass production phase. By integrating your swimwear design into a production line at our swimwear factory, we assure quick and high-quality production.

 

8. Quality control

We always have very strict bulk production control, we have our inline QC to make sure each production step is correct, and we also have QC to ensure the ready garment and packing are correct. Normally our quality standard is AQL 2.5, when the customer has more strict we can even apply for AQL 1.0 especially. We always make sure our customers can get the best quality product to build on their brand reputation.

 

9. Shipping

When the customers have they are nominated forward we will use them accordingly, if they don’t have them, we also have a professional shipping team to help arrange all imports and export.

 

This is the whole procedure we are working with our current customers to create their swimwear lines, we believe this can be more clear for those customers who are just started to do custom swimsuits.
