The reason why we always put chlorine in the swimming pool is because chlorine can protect us from viruses and bacteria in the water. Chlorine can keep the water in the swimming pool as clean as possible and let everyone swim in it safely.

Chlorine affects not only the skin, but also swimsuits.

 

Ordinary swimsuits are usually made of elastic fiber. The advantage of elastic fiber is that it has better elasticity and feels comfortable to wear, but it is relatively fragile. After repeated soaking in chlorinated water for several times, it will lose its elasticity. Advantages become lax. This is also a troublesome thing for you who maintain long-term swimming training.

To make long lasting swimsuit in chlorine water, here we suggest to use PBT fabric.

PBT polyester fiber material replaces elastic fiber. The fabric of this material maintains good elasticity and resilience, and can better resist the erosion of chlorine on the fabric. Swimsuits made of such fabric can be used for a longer time.

 

Another feature of the swimsuit made of PBT is its low water absorption and quick-drying.

We can offer you two options of PBT material in swimwear products.

One is Darwin P.B.T. fabric made of 100% polyester, totally chlorine proof, which is made by Carvico in Italy.

                 

 

Another one is local PBT fabric, made in China. Fabric composition is around 48%PBT + 52%Polyester. This could be more economical and faster lead time.

If you don’t like PBT fabric, you can choose LYCRA® XTRA LIFE™ or creora® highclo™, both of them are high quality spandex, which are longer lasting fit & shape retention in pool water.
