At present, the traditional method of tinning copper bars is to use the hanging plating method. The specific production process is copper bar hanging, degreasing (electrolytic degreasing or chemical degreasing, or a combination of the two), multiple water washing, activation, tinning, multiple water washing, passivation, multiple water washing, hot pure water washing, drying, hanging, and packaging.
The temperature of the liquid in the degreasing process needs to be controlled at 40-60℃, the temperature of the liquid in the tinning process needs to be controlled at 15-20℃, and the temperature of the hot pure water needs to be controlled above 60℃. All tanks are open. Stainless steel plates are hung on both sides of the electrolytic degreasing tank and connected to the corresponding positive pole of the power supply. There is a certain gap in the middle and a conductive copper rod is installed to connect to the corresponding negative pole of the power supply. During operation, the hanger with the copper bar is hung on this copper rod; the two sides of the tinning tank are hung with pure tin plates and connected to the corresponding positive pole of the power supply. When the power is on, the tin plates are continuously dissolved to replenish the tin ions in the plating solution. The conductive copper rod in the middle is connected to the corresponding negative pole of the power supply for hanging the hanger. The hanger is a conductive hook made of metal such as stainless steel. The copper bar is hooked with several hangers and placed in each tank for processing in turn according to the process requirements.
The disadvantages of this process are as follows: (1) Because the conductive point is fixed, the current density at different distances from the conductive point of the copper bar is also different, so the thickness of the plated layer is also different. If the copper bar is not moved during the tinning process, serious leakage may even occur at the contact point between the copper bar and the hanger, and the corrosion resistance is also different; (2) Because the conductive point is a fixed point, the temperature of the contact point gradually rises as the electroplating time increases, so the electroplating efficiency gradually decreases. (3) All tanks in this process are in an open state, and the acid and alkali mist generated cannot be sealed and collected, which seriously affects the environment. (4) The loss of tank liquid during the transition of each process is large. (5) The exposed part of the hanger will be plated with tin, which wastes a certain amount of raw materials and causes hanger loss. (6) The volume of each tank is large, and a large amount of slotting liquid and various raw materials are required. The copper bar is moved, and conductive wheels are installed at both ends of each cylinder groove that needs to be conductive. When the copper bar passes through the conductive wheel and enters the cylinder groove, electricity is turned on.
