McCauley spinners are more than cosmetic attachments. They reduce drag by streamlining airflow. That means improved engine cooling and ram-air induction. Of course, they help make any aircraft more attractive and they're available in natural and polished aluminum.

Just a quick thanks for the great product and service on our Variprop GP 107-18” x 13 x 11 x 3-blade RH for our Tartan () with a Yanmar 3JH3, rated at 40hp, rpm, 2.62:1 ratio RH Rotation, 1.25” dia. shaft.  Our Tartan arrives and leaves the dock much better than the old folding prop.  This is especially useful with a new, larger boat at transient docks and mooring balls.  We also see 6.5 knots at rpm in light chop; very efficient!  Although sailing performance is difficult to compare as we’ve added new sails we’re seeing mid 7’s to low 8 knots in routine sailing conditions.  The Variprop on our last (T 34-2) boat added over 1/4 knot and I believe that’s at least the case on the T-.  Thanks again Geoff, for sorting out my shaft diameter mistake and getting us on the water quickly!

I have to say that I am very happy with my new props. Boat speed as a function of RPM has improved by easily over 1.5 knots and that is not including the alternative pitch; which is easy to engage and disengage. Under sail, there is no apparent drag. My speed over ground as a function of wind speed and direction is as least as fast as before, perhaps better.

You will get efficient and thoughtful service from Rayi.

I will be heading to Catalina Island in the near future when time permits. The usual plan involves motoring over night to the island (about 70 nautical miles) and a brisk sail (when the winds are right) on the way back. I figure we will save at least 2 hours of motoring time getting to the island. That is significant!

Thank you.

We had the best experience with AB Marine. My husband and I were hauled out for a few days nearby at New England Boatworks, and wanted to replace all of our zincs. We had ordered our bolt on hull zinc based on the specs from the manufacturer, but didn’t realize that the base of the zinc needed to be completely flush against the hull. I couldn’t find anything online that worked, so I drove to AB to see if they had any ideas. Both employees that were there dropped everything to help figure out the mystery. Brendan found a replacement through one of their vendors online. He promised he’d call me back after he checked with them to see how quickly they could ship it. An hour or two later, Brendan called and said he could get it overnighted. He even offered to drop it off to us at NEB the next day since we were launching the following morning. Brendan delivered the zincs we needed, and even offered to make sure they fit before he drove away. Their vendor had sent a replacement to the very specific ones we needed, and unfortunately didn’t work. Brendan gave us the contact of who to call so we could eventually order down the road (thankfully our zincs still have a good bit of life left in them!), and then, even more amazingly, said he’d take back the misfit zincs and just refund us. I’ve never been so blown away by a customer service experience, especially when it didn’t net the company any sales. Thank you, Brendan!

I’ll also add that we ordered Shaft Shark line cutters through NEB, that are manufactured by AB Marine, and we are delighted by them so far!
