（II）Classification

 

Can be divided into the following categories according to production and processing methods.

 

①Hot-dip galvanized steel plate. A thin steel plate is immersed in a molten zinc bath so that a layer of zinc adheres to its surface. It is mainly produced by the continuous galvanizing process, that is, the rolled steel plates are continuously immersed in a plating bath containing molten zinc to make galvanized steel plates;

 

②Alloyed galvanized steel sheet. This kind of steel plate is also made by the hot dip method, but it is heated to about 500°C immediately after coming out of the tank to form an alloy film of zinc and iron. This kind of galvanized sheet has good paint adhesion and weld-ability;

（III）Usage

 

In the construction industry, it is used in light steel keels, building panels, corrugated boards, rolling shutter doors, etc. in various industrial and civil buildings; in home appliances and light industry, it is used in the shells and base plates of various household appliances.

Especially in recent years, with the rapid development of lightweight building structures, the increasing production of cars, the widespread popularity of household appliances, and the large-scale export of electronic products from joint ventures and sole proprietorship, the consumption of galvanized sheet has grown rapidly. 

 

According to the production method, galvanized sheet is divided into hot-dip galvanized sheet and electroplated galvanized sheet. At present, the production of galvanized steel sheets in China cannot meet market demand in terms of quantity and variety, and requires a large amount of imports every year.
