To get the Cv for a particular valve, you need to go to the manufacturer.

Oh, by the way, the Cv is more dependent on the port size than body size (yes, the body size also matters, but a bit less).

For a Fisher 1" D body:

1/4" 1.66
3/8" 4.03
1/2" 6.51
3/4" 12.3

Have you read FAQ731-376 to make the best use of Eng-Tips Forums? The manufacturer determines the Cv by lab testing, usually to the ISA S75 standards.

I agree with the others, only obtain the information from the individual manufacturer. (I have many years experience in this.)
