Buying a highchair can be stressful. New and old parents alike struggle with a looping pair of mutually exclusive questions: Is it safe? Can we afford it?
HEORSHE are exported all over the world and different industries with quality first. Our belief is to provide our customers with more and better high value-added products. Let's create a better future together.
But like basically everything else in life, this situation looks significantly different if you’re rich. If you’re rich, buying a highchair is less about price than matching the chair with your pre-existing drapes and silk Isfahan rug. The fact that the chair costs more than a month of New York City rent doesn’t matter.
This brings us to Mark, who works as a salesman for a high-end baby furniture company. Mark didn’t want us to mention the company’s name, or his last one, but we will say that he started out selling plumbing equipment and got his current role through his uncle. He’s now 36, lives in New York, and although he didn’t have a kid when first starting over a decade ago, he now has a young son, which he says allows him to mix work and play.
What’s important, however, is that Mark sells baby furniture to tycoons, oligarchs, and celebrities like Beyoncé and the Kardashians. This gives him a fascinating window into the world of the rich and famous, and we wanted to hear some of his stories. So I spoke with Mark over Zoom about what it was like convincing Kanye West to pay full price, and setting up a crib in Beyonce’s green room.
VICE: Hey Mark, let’s start with the Kardashians. Can you tell me what it’s like dealing with them?
Mark: Well sometimes I roll my eyes because they’ll call and be like “we need five of this product. We need it by early next week, and it’s for Kylie’s new office.” You’re just like “holy shit, this person spends more than anyone would on their entire nursery just for a small space in an office.” Having said that, the Kardashians have been a pretty good client of ours for a long time. Over 10 years, we’ve worked with them on getting the same sort of products in every one of their homes.
Really, our brand’s infamy has grown with the Kardashians, because our chairs started showing up on the TV show. So we literally get people picking up the and saying “I saw your product on the Kardashians last night. How do I get it?” When you’re not busy watching the Kardashians the night before, you don’t know what chair is on there. They’ve got screenshots of their TVs at home.
(Here’s an example of a highchair sold by Mark appearing in a Kardashian post)
And what’s it like working with Beyoncé and Jay-Z?
As a celebrity experience, it’s been very surprising because they’re just so respectful as a brand and as a business and just as, like, general human beings towards us. They’ve been the best, nicest celebrities to work with––completely adamant about paying for the product, completely adamant about paying full price.
One of the interesting things we learned about musicians or entertainers that go on tours is that they like to replicate the space and the setting that they have at home within their backstage areas and green rooms. They basically got someone to replicate the nursery they have at home. So one time Beyonce was performing in New York, and I had to go to Barclays Center [where they had set up a nursery]. It was like going to another world. I drove into an elevator that was the size of a semi-trailer truck––and in this tiny little van, it was like a comedy video. All the people are running around, getting set up for the gig, and I’m wheeling around this little crib into Beyonce’s green room. For someone that sells baby products and was sitting behind a desk selling plumbing products 20 years ago, I really didn’t think I’d be in this situation, where I’d be standing in Beyoncé’s green room setting up a crib.
As an official supplier of baby furniture to celebrities do you go to the concert after-parties? What’s that like?
Yeah, as soon as the gig finishes or like a couple of songs before the end, everyone rushes to the after party to get a spot. After one concert, we started racing back after Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake were tipping their hats. We’re running down a small corridor at Yankee Stadium and right next to us was Rihanna and her whole entourage. And then this big burly security car comes barreling around the corner, stops everyone, and Rihanna is like “what the fuck, let us through!” And I’m like “yeah, let me through!” He had the choice of letting Rihanna through or letting me through, but instead he let the baby salesman guy, because I’d actually talked to him earlier when setting up the crib and was nice to him. I had the all access pass, but Rihanna had to wait because none of them had passes.
Have you been surprised by anyone who seems really nice in public but then when you’re working with them they’re assholes?
I’m pretty proud of standing up to Kanye West about paying for the product. One of the products we’d sold out of and weren’t making any more, but we had one in our showroom. We had the last one available on planet Earth and he wanted it and said “great, can you send it to this address?” And I was just like “no, here’s the link to the checkout on our website for the product––full price plus shipping.” It took a couple of weeks but eventually he paid for it. Here we are five years later and he’s a billionaire.
What’s the main difference between interacting with people in the one percent and selling to an average person who just wants a crib?
For people in the one percent money is no object and they expect you to solve their problems for them without them having to lift a finger. We’ve had rich customers that have received the products––a normal baby product that would never have arrived set up because every single product in that category is disassembled––and we get people calling us and saying “thanks for shipping but it’s not set up—who’s going to set it up?” And then I’m like “you.”
It says on the website that there’s instructions included to set up. It’s a 10-minute instruction. We’ve got YouTube channels; we’ve got this, we’ve got that. The comments are normally like “well, my nanny is gone for the weekend.” And it even gets pretty granular where we’re FaceTiming with customers, and we’re like “you just have to push that button.”
You go to Kmart and you can get a crib for less than $100. Can you tell me why your products are worth so much more than these alternatives?
The difference with us is that we don’t just sell designer products, we sell designer products that actually work. There are gimmicks out there, but that’s not us. There are a few stroller brands that [partner with] another luxury fashion house, and they’ll sell one of their normal products that are like $200 and they’ll put on a Gucci cover and then it’s a $10,000 stroller.
Cool, now back to talking about celebrities. What’s it like going to a Real Housewives house?
Real housewives have the persona of being rich and bored, but in my experience a lot of them actually aren’t. [I’ve been to] a couple of them in New York, and the apartments are tiny, just as small as the average person. I got a glimpse into the world that wasn’t as glitzy as everyone sort of expects. I found that interesting as well, seeing into the world of celebrity, but not necessarily rich celebrity.
What is the least luxurious part of your job?
Returns. People like to use baby products and pretend they haven’t and then take advantage of our no-questions-asked return policy. They just arrive back disgusting and clearly the parents have been using it for like a whole year and they haven’t cleaned it. It’s got food all over it and smells like pee. It’s just the most horrendous thing about the baby industry in that sense.
When you deliver products yourself, what’s the highest tip you’ve ever received?
One Friday afternoon, I knocked on the door and a very lovely, extremely pregnant woman answered. She brought me in and gave me a glass of water. She’s like, “listen, I got one quick favour. I just got this little kid’s piano that I need to put together, but I just don’t know how to do it.” She said, “Please, I’ll do anything. What do you need? Like, what is it? What do you want? Like, I’ll tip you. I’ll give you money. What do you want?” Eventually, through the guilt of a pregnant mum needing some help, I said I’d do it. It ended up being probably two and a half hours later and I’d set up about four or five pieces of furniture for her because she just kept guilting me through it. She ended up cooking me a steak dinner, and gave me a bag full of Portuguese olive oil, tuna, and tipped me 250 bucks.
What’s the thing that’s shocked you the most about billionaires and celebrities?
When we’re taking an expensive order over the in New York and sort of doing like a concierge service, a lot of times when I’m asking for the address we’ll have have this awkward pausing moment. I’ll say “what’s the address?” and they’re like “well, it’s 300 West 58.” That’s overlooking Central Park. And you’re like “yes but what apartment number is that?” And then they sort of pause and don’t say anything and go silent. “No, there is none.” Then you realise that you’re talking to someone who owns the entire building.

The Baby Carrier Mini, Free/Move, One/One Air, and Harmony are all compatible for outward facing carrying. Following advice from pediatricians we collaborate with, we recommend that your baby be carried facing inwards in the baby carrier until around five months of age. Before this age, baby’s neck muscles, spine and hips are not sufficiently developed. Once they can support their heads independently, you can transition to outward facing.
You can carry your child in a BabyBjörn Baby Carrier for as long as he or she is content. However, small children should not be still in the same position for long periods of time. We therefore recommend that you always pay attention to your baby’s signals and vary between the baby carrier and, e.g., a bouncer, stroller and crib/cradle.
Our baby carriers are designed to be flexible to fit parents from size S to XL. With a few simple strap adjustments, our carriers can adapt to parents of all sizes. If you ever need help, just reach out to .

Yes, when your baby sits in a BabyBjörn carrier their legs, hips, and spine are in the same position as when you carry your child in your arms. According to pediatricians, an upright position that ensures free air passages, free movement for the legs and arms and good support for the neck and head is the optimal position for a newborn. Our Baby Carriers meet all of these important orthopedic requirements for small children.
Read more about what pediatricians have to say about our baby carriers.
If you ever have specific questions about how your baby is being carried, please reach out to our Care Team via , , or chat. You can also book a virtual consultation and view our helpful videos here.
All newborns are checked immediately after birth by a medical professional to make sure their hips are normally developed. Any problems are appropriately treated by doctors. Hip dysplasia cannot be caused by a baby carrier.
Our Baby Carriers are developed in collaboration with doctors who specialize in pediatric orthopedics to ensure that they provide well-adapted support for the baby’s hips, neck and back. A baby’s back is initially shaped like a C and gradually takes on an S-shape as we reach adulthood.
Almost everyone who works here at BabyBjörn has children, and we work closely with pediatric doctors when we develop our Baby Carriers. We also confer with midwives, safety experts from test institutes, and other specialists. Without their approval, we would not allow parents to use our Baby Carriers. To date, more than 30 million babies all over the world have been carried in a BabyBjörn Baby Carrier.
The skeletal tissue surrounding the hips of newborns is still soft. This makes it important for the baby to sit in a natural, wide-legged position during their early months. All BabyBjörn Baby Carriers provide your baby with the proper support for his or her hips, thighs, neck and back while still allowing unobstructed movement. We recommend that you carry your baby facing inward during the first five months while they are still small and need proper support for their neck muscles.
You can start using Baby Carrier Mini from newborn (at least 7 lbs/3.2 kg and 21 in/53 cm) to around 12 months (24 lbs/11 kg).
You can start using Baby Carrier Move/Free from newborn (at least 7 lbs/3.2 kg and 21 in/53 cm) to around 15 months (max 26.5 lbs/12 kg).
Baby Carrier One and One Air can be used from newborn (at least 8 lbs/3.5 kg and 21 in/53 cm) up to about 3 years (max. 33 lbs/15 kg and 39 in/100 cm).
Baby Carrier Harmony can be used from newborn (at least 7 lbs/3.2 kg and 21 in/53 cm) to around 3 years (max. 40 lbs/18 kg)
We’ve developed a wide range of carriers to suit your and your baby’s needs. We recommend comparing our entire line of baby carriers to see what’s best for you and your child. If possible, try out a few different models in store to test your comfort levels and wear-ability. We created a comparison chart for all of our carriers here. The number on the underside of many BabyBjörn plastics tells you which materials have been used to make it. Plastics are divided into seven different classes (for recycling), with Classes 1-6 standing for certain specific plastics. Class 7, however, refers to “other plastics”, meaning that this product is made from plastics other than those specified in Classes 1 to 6.
Our products belong to Class 7. They are always BPA-free and contain only food-safe and permitted plastics.
The cotton that we use in our baby carriers carries the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) logo. This means that the cotton has been produced in a more sustainable way that is better for the environment it grows in and for the people who produce it. This includes using less water and fewer chemicals than the methods for conventionally grown cotton. You can read more about BCI here.
Our mesh and jersey are 3D fabrics – also known as spacer fabrics. This means that they consist of three layers – an inner layer, a middle layer and an outer layer. Instead of padding, the middle layer consists of a fine, single-fiber thread that makes the layer airy so the fabric “breathes”.
The 3D fabrics that we use to make our baby carriers give them stability while also ensuring good airflow and heat- and moisture-wicking properties.
All BabyBjörn kitchen and bathroom products are made from food-safe plastics and meet the applicable plastic safety requirements in both Europe and the USA. They are PVC-free and contain no Bisphenol A (BPA), phthalates, cadmium, lead or bromide. The plastic is also recyclable.

You can use the baby carrier for your newborn from day one, provided your baby weighs at least 7 lbs/3.2 kg. Always use the leg straps when your baby weighs between 7 lbs/3.2 kg and 10 lbs/4.5 kg. (Pdf manual)
All BabyBjörn baby carriers are fully adjustable to grow with your child. The size adjustment is located on the inside of the seat area, i.e., under the baby’s bottom. Use the double buckle to adjust the baby carrier to your child’s height.
Check out our helpful tutorials here.
All BabyBjörn Baby Carriers have a head support that should be used until your baby's neck muscles are strong enough to hold up their head unaided. Adjust the head support by tightening or loosening the short straps beside your baby’s head. Ensure that there is enough space to keep your baby’s air passages free.
The leg straps are intended to reduce the size of the leg openings for smaller babies. The leg straps should be used when your baby weighs between 7 lbs/3.2 kg and 10 lbs/4.5 kg. The leg straps may also need adjusted depending on the amount of clothing your baby is wearing. Always make sure that the leg straps are not too tight around your baby's legs.
Baby Carrier Mini is available in four materials.
Woven: Our woven blend is made from 65% recycled polyester and 35% cotton. The fabric is durable, super-soft and has a rich, lustrous finish.
3D Mesh: 100% polyester is a super-soft, flexible fabric that dries quickly after washing. It’s a high-tech, breathable fabric that retains its shape, wash after wash.
Cotton: Our satin-woven fabric in 100% cotton has a thin padding, making it both soft and comfy.
3D Jersey: 80% polyester, 16% cotton and 4% elastane is a super-soft and smooth stretch fabric that has three layers for optimal breathability.
The fabrics in Baby Carrier Mini have been developed specifically for BabyBjörn and are designed to suit newborn babies.
All fabrics are approved for baby products in accordance with Oeko-Tex® Standard 100, Class I. This guarantees that they are free from harmful and allergenic substances.
All BabyBjörn Carriers are machinable in wash warm (40°C). Wash separately, preferably in a laundry bag. Use an eco-friendly, mild and bleach-free detergent. Do not tumble dry. Since our fabrics are free from harmful substances, there’s no need to wash your Baby Carrier Mini before you start using it.
There are three practical accessories for Baby Carrier Mini: the BabyBjörn Bib for Baby Carrier Mini, which protects your baby carrier from dribble, the BabyBjörn Cover for Baby Carrier, which keeps your baby warm when it’s cold outside and BabyBjörn Pocket Pouch for Baby Carrier, which help you carry small essentials.
The difference between Baby Carrier Mini and Baby Carrier Original is that Baby Carrier Mini is made of new materials that are super-soft and gently hug your baby’s body. The seat area of Baby Carrier Mini is wider and gives better support to your newborn’s legs and hips when you’re babywearing in the facing-in position.
Baby Carrier Move/Free is perfect to use from newborn, provided that your baby weighs at least 7 lbs and is 21 in long. Max. weight for Baby Carrier Move/Free is 26.5 lbs. (Pdf manual)
The purpose of the leg straps is to reduce the size of the leg openings for a smaller baby. You should use the legs straps on Baby Carrier Move/Free when your baby weighs between 7 and 10 lbs. Remember that the amount of clothing your baby is wearing may also affect the size of the leg openings. Always double-check that the leg straps are not too tight around your baby’s legs.
Baby Carrier Move/Free is easy to adjust as your baby grows. You’ll find adjustment instructions and an adjustment buckle on the inside of the baby carrier’s front section. Adjust the buckle according to the length of your baby. The length setting is approximate. Hold the buckle flat. You may need to apply some force as the buckle is designed to be difficult to move for safety reasons. Should arms press on the lower or upper edge of the armholes, adjust the length setting.
Yes, from five months of age and once your baby can hold their head up unaided, you can fold down the head support and babywear in the facing-out position in Baby Carrier Free. By this time, your baby’s neck muscles, spine and hips will have stabilized. Open up the wide-leg position for baby to have a comfortable seat.
For the best comfort for both baby and babywearer:
1. Start by adjusting the baby carrier according to your baby’s size (length). See the size instructions on the inside of the baby carrier for the right setting.
2. Put on the harness and attach it to the front section of the baby carrier by locking the double buckle. It’s securely locked when you hear a separate click from the left and right side of the double buckle.
3. Remember that you can choose how high up you carry your baby depending on how high up you place the waist belt. Younger babies are often carried higher up than older babies, but pay attention to your baby’s needs and what you yourself find most comfortable.
4. Don’t forget the back lumbar support piece is also adjustable. You can slide the logo buckle along the tracks up or down to move the support piece for different sized wearers’ comfort.
5. Ensure baby's full bum is supported by fabric and no excess material is bunched up under their seat.
You can machine wash Baby Carrier Move/Free at 100°F. Do not use a lower or higher temperature. Remember to wash your baby carrier separately and to use a laundry bag to protect it. Use a mild detergent and a short spin program. Hang the baby carrier up to dry. Do not tumble dry or iron. Do not use bleach or fabric softener.
All materials meet the criteria for OEKO-TEX Standard 100, Class 1 for baby products. This means that they are kind to your baby’s skin and safe to taste.
Baby Carrier Move/Free complies with both the European EN -2: and the American ASTM F safety standards for baby carriers.
The International Hip Dysplasia Institute has tested Baby Carrier Free and classifies it as “hip-healthy”.
Baby Carrier Move/Free has been developed in close collaboration with pediatricians to ensure that a newborn baby gets the best possible support for their entire body.
Baby Carrier One can be used from birth (at least 8 lbs/3.5 kg and 21 in/53 cm) up to about 3 years (max. 33 lbs/15 kg and 39 in/100 cm). The leg straps should always be used when your child weighs between 8 lbs/3.5 kg and 10 lbs/4.5 kg.(Pdf manual)
Your child should always be carried facing inwards until he or she can support his or her head on their own, usually around five months of age. Your child can start being worn on your back after they are about 12 months old.
There are some rules of thumb to follow for the comfort of both the baby and the parent. Baby Carrier One is delivered in the upper height position, which is for newborns. If your baby is taller than 27 in/62 cm, you should switch the zipper to the lower height.
1. Put on the baby carrier like a shirt over your head.
2. Place the back yoke under the shoulder blade and then attach the waist belt to the back. For maximum comfort, the waist belt should be up on your waist and not low on your hips.
3. Loosen the shoulder strap and unbutton the headrest on both sides as well as the safety lock on one side.
4. Put your child in the baby carrier. Once he or she is in place and you have locked the safety lock, buttoned up the headrest and, if applicable, the leg straps, you can adjust the shoulder strap and waist belt (so that it is comfortable for you and your baby).
For a step-by-step guide check out our instructional videos here.
For the first few months you should use the upper height position for newborns. Once your child is 27 in/62 cm long (around 4 months), you can easily change to the lower height position using the red zipper.
The head support should be used until the child’s neck muscles are strong enough to hold the head up properly, which is usually around five months of age.
We recommend that you carry your baby facing inwards at least until he or she is 5 months old. Baby’s neck, back and hips are sufficiently developed then for you to also be able to carry him or her facing outwards. Don’t forget to always use the normal leg position when you are carrying your baby facing outward.
Check out our helpful tutorial here.
Once your baby is 12 months old, he or she is big enough to be carried on your back.
1. First, put the baby carrier on your belly as usual. Your baby should be facing you and sitting in the wide leg position. Loosen both shoulder straps.
2. Slip one of your arms up under the shoulder strap and the other arm down under the lower part of the shoulder strap.
Now the shoulder pad should be a closed loop around the body.
3. Get a grip on your baby from underneath and turn him or her around onto your back under your raised arm.
4. Put the shoulder strap back in place and place the back yoke where it feels comfortable.
5. Finally, tighten the waist belt and the shoulder strap.
Check out our helpful tutorial here.
Your newborn should always be carried facing inwards with normal leg position. Normal leg position should also always be used when carrying your newborn baby facing outwards.
For bigger babies carried facing inwards, you can either use normal or wide leg position. The wide leg position should always be used when carrying baby on your back.
Switch between normal and wide leg position by opening or closing the zipper on both sides. The zippers have a safety “lock” feature so that the leg position is secured and will not move while you are carrying.

The leg straps should be used when your baby weighs between 8 lb/3.5 kg and 10 lb/4.5 kg. Fasten the loops on the vest onto the large buttons at the front of the baby carrier. This may also vary a bit depending on how much clothing your baby is wearing. Always make sure that the leg straps are not too tight around baby’s legs.
We’ve noticed that the Baby Carrier One can be a bit sticky when it comes to the front flap staying down. That's because as a newborn, it's important for their head to have plenty of support.
Move the head support toggles down the track away from the buckle.
Fold the flap down, and over bend if necessary. Tighten the strap when turned down.

Baby Carrier One is available in three fabric collections.
Woven: Our woven blend is made from 65% recycled polyester and 35% cotton. The fabric is durable, super-soft and has a rich, lustrous finish.
Cotton Mix: Our soft and flexible cotton blend is made from 60% cotton and 40% polyester.
Cotton: Our satin-woven fabric in 100% has a thin padding, making it both soft and comfy.
The Baby Carrier One Air is made with our 3D mesh fabric consisting of 100% polyester. It is an airy mesh fabric that is breathable and carries away heat and moisture from you and your baby. The fabric is specially made for BabyBjörn.
All fabrics used in this product are gentle against your child’s skin and safe to chew or suck on. They have been tested and approved in accordance with Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 Class I for baby products. This means that the textiles are free from health-hazardous substances and allergens.
The mesh and cotton carriers should be washed in warm water (100°F/40°C) with a gentle, bleach-free detergent. We recommend washing your baby carrier in a laundry bag. Do not tumble dry or iron. Our mesh fabric products dry very quickly thanks to their airy, breathable fabric.
You can use Baby Carrier Harmony for a newborn (as long as your baby weighs at least 7 lbs/3.2 kg) and up to the age of about 3 (or max. 40 lbs/18 kg). You don’t need an infant insert for the early days, and as your baby grows, you can easily adjust the settings to you and your baby. (Pdf manual)
Baby Carrier Harmony has two height positions, which means you can babywear newborns and babies up to the age of 3. With just a few simple adjustments, you can change your babywearing position from facing in to facing out on your front or carrying on your back.
Your newborn needs a lot of closeness. At this age, it’s best to babywear in the facing-in position to strengthen the bond between you; the warmth of your breath and the sound of your heartbeat are reassuring to your baby.
As your baby grows, you can easily adjust the height, leg position and seat area.
The pressure-relieving waist belt sits at the waist when you carry your newborn, and as your baby grows, you move the belt down to your hips.
Good head support is essential to help your baby hold their head in an upright position until they have the strength to do so unaided. Baby Carrier Harmony has easy snap adjustments for the head support in three positions. Use the position that provides good head and neck support and gives you good supervision of your baby.
Use the leg straps on Baby Carrier Harmony when your baby weighs between 7 lbs/3.2 kg and 10 lbs/4.5 kg. The leg straps reduce the size of the leg openings and are there to ensure that your child sits comfortably and securely. Always make sure that the leg straps are not too tight around your baby’s legs.
Good head support is essential to help your baby keep their head in an upright position until they can do so unaided. Baby Carrier Harmony offers head support in three positions that you can easily adjust using the snaps. Use the position that provides good head and neck support and gives you good supervision of your baby.
Yes, you can easily adjust the seat width on Baby Carrier Harmony, as well as the length, leg position and seat area. In Baby Carrier Harmony, your baby sits with their legs wide apart and their bottom in a deep position. The baby carrier is ergonomically designed to be as comfortable as possible for both you and your baby.
Once your little one is at least 12 months old, you can start back carrying in the Baby Carrier Harmony.
1. Put on the baby carrier as usual. Your child should be facing you and sitting in the wide-leg position.
2. Slightly loosen both shoulder straps.
3. Slide one of your arms up under the shoulder strap and your other arm down under the lower part of the shoulder strap. Now the shoulder strap should be a closed loop around your body.
4. Supporting your child's body from underneath, slide them under your raised arm and onto your back. Do not hold the safety buckles.
5. Put the shoulder straps back in place and move the back yoke into a comfortable position.
6. Tighten the waist belt and the shoulder straps.

Baby Carrier Harmony complies with American safety standards for baby carriers, ASTMF . All materials that come in contact with your child’s skin meet the requirements of Oeko-Tex Standard 100, Class 1 for baby products. This means that they are kind to your baby’s skin and safe to taste. It also means that there is no need to wash the baby carrier before you start using it. The International Hip Dysplasia Institute has evaluated Baby Carrier Harmony and classifies it as “hip healthy” when used as directed. This means that the baby carrier provides the right support for your baby’s hips. When you buy a baby carrier from BABYBJÖRN, you can rest assured that you are making a good choice. BabyBjörn collaborates with medical experts and pediatricians and always bases its product development on the latest research. Throughout the entire process—from concept to finished product—we focus on safety and good ergonomics for both you and your child.
Baby Carrier Harmony is designed with a layer of stretchy mesh, while Baby Carrier One has a slightly sturdier construction with padding. The head supports are slightly different; both are adjustable, but the head support in Baby Carrier Harmony offers three positions. In addition, the back support in Baby Carrier Harmony can be adjusted horizontally.
Baby Carrier Harmony is machine washable on warm. We recommend washing your baby carrier separately and using a laundry bag to protect it. Do not use fabric softener or bleach since this will impair the quality of the 3D mesh. Hang the baby carrier up to dry. Do not tumble dry or iron.
BabyBjörn offers different bibs to fit your carrier model perfectly.

The BabyBjörn Travel Crib has been designed for use from birth up to about three years. There is no weight limit, given that the mattress is directly on the floor. How long you can use the travel crib varies from child to child.
Some children can use the BabyBjörn Travel Crib even after turning three. Others are more likely to attempt escape and can’t use it as long. When your child tries to climb out of the travel crib, it is time to stop using it, so pay attention to whether he or she begins trying to get out of it.
We have not listed a recommended maximum weight for BabyBjörn Travel Crib as it rests firmly on the floor. The unique design enables even parents to get in the travel crib when putting down or picking up your child. When your child begins to attempt climbing out of the crib, it's time to move to a bigger bed.
The BabyBjörn Travel Crib weighs just 13 lbs/6 kg, which makes it easy to bring along on trips.
Its measurements are as follows:
Mattress: 24x41x1.5 in/60x105x3 cm
The frame’s measurements are/floor space needed: 32x44x in/82×112 cm
Folded: 24x19x6 in/60x49x14 cm
Unfolded height: 25 in/64 cm
You can quickly set up the BabyBjörn Travel Crib with one simple trick. Take the travel crib out of the storage bag. Hold on to the short sides of the frame so that the legs point down toward the floor and open it up in one swift movement. With enough force, the legs fold out by themselves. Make sure that all four are locked in the right position before putting the mattress in. Fasten the mattress to the bottom by pulling the red loops through the holes in each corner and fasten them to the red hooks. This ensures the mattress will not slip within the frame. Check out our helpful tutorial here.
First detach the mattress from the hooks. Fold up the mattress and put it in the storage bag. Fold in one leg at a time and be careful to pull out the leg before you fold it. Fold up the crib in the middle and put the crib in the bag, between the mattress pad. You can find a tutorial here.
Tip: We’ve found that flipping the frame upside down and pulling the legs up is the easiest way to make sure the legs fold properly. We made a tutorial you can find here to help you out.
You can easily take off the mattress cover by opening the zipper on one of the short sides. Machine wash the mattress cover separately in hot water. Use a gentle, bleach-free detergent. Do not tumble dry or iron.
It is also easy to remove the fabric from the travel crib by opening the four zippers around the frame. Machine wash the fabric separately in warm water. Use a gentle, bleach-free detergent. Do not tumble dry any of the parts. Check out our tutorial here.
The mattress itself is too large to be machine-washed. You can wash it gently by hand and rinse it off as needed.
We recommend using the BabyBjörn Fitted Sheet for Travel Crib as it has been specifically designed to fit our travel crib mattress. The perfect fit to the mattress ensures that the sheet lies flat and does not slide around or come loose when your child is inside. The elastic edges also make it easy to make the bed.
The sheet as well as the mesh around the crib has been certified and approved in accordance with Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 Class I for baby products. This means that the textiles are free from health-hazardous substances and allergens.
The Fitted Sheet for Travel Crib is made from soft, organic cotton. All fabrics used in this product are gentle against your child’s skin and safe to chew or suck on. They have been tested and approved in accordance with Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 Class I for baby products. This means that the textiles are free from health-hazardous substances and allergens.
The fitted sheet can be easily removed and machine washed (hot, 140° F/60° C). Use a gently, bleach-free detergent. Hang dry
The two versions of the Travel Crib are actually identical except for the color! The Light comes in a black bag and has a black frame. The Easy Go comes with a soft greige frame and light gray carrying case. The shape, functionality, and features of both models are the same. It really comes down to a color preference!
The Cradle can be used by a newborn baby until he or she can sit unaided (approximately 6 months) or weights 18 lbs/8 kg.
The BabyBjörn Cradle has a dream-like suspension base that lulls baby to sleep with their own movements. The gentle rocking movement is similar to that of a stroller with spring suspension. The Cradle is easy to rock in all directions, and will never tip over. You can start the motion with gentle hand or foot movements.
The Cradle is set in motion by your baby’s movements and a baby who wakes up may be lulled back to sleep on their own. Some sleep experts claim that children do not sleep as deeply when they are in motion. But the Cradle stops rocking once your baby falls asleep, so he or she does not get accustomed to constant movement while asleep.
The BabyBjörn Cradle has full mesh sides for two major reasons. The first is so that your baby can breathe through it if they get very close to the edge while sleeping. The second, is so that you can see through the fabric which makes it easy to keep an eye on your sleeping baby from across the room.
The BabyBjörn Cradle has been developed in consultation with baby sleep experts, including American physician and child safety expert Mark Brandenburg. Doctor Brandenburg is convinced that the BabyBjörn Cradle does not have any of the risks commonly associated with cradles. Doctor Brandenburg contends that cradles can get stuck at an angle that can be dangerous for the baby. But he confirms that there is no risk of this happening with the BabyBjörn Cradle, because it stands firmly on the floor and does not rock in the traditional way and so cannot get stuck in one position.
In his book “Child Safe” he writes: “Injury occurs when a baby rolls so far to one side that the cradle fails to rock back in the other direction. If the cradle becomes angled to a degree that prevents an infant from moving off the railings, pressure against her chest can become great enough to prevent breathing.”
In addition, all sides of the cradle are made of a mesh fabric that your baby can breathe through, even if your baby’s face is very close to the side of the cradle.
The cradle weighs only 13 lbs/6 kg.
Height/length/width in transport mode: 5x31x23 in/13x79x58 cm
Height/length/width unfolded/standing: 26x31x23 in/65x79x58 cm
Mattress measurements: 14×28 in/36×72 cm
The compact size of our cradle makes it easy to move, as well as snug and cozy for your baby, just like being in Mommy’s tummy. Babies old enough to sit unaided should not be using a cradle – they can start to climb and at worst fall out of the cradle. That is why we have made our cradle small – your baby should grow out of it when it is time to move on to a larger bed.
The BabyBjörn Cradle is handcrafted and tested to the highest standards.
Mattress cover: top surface- 50% polyester, 50% polyurethane (PU); bottom surface- 100% polyester
Mattress foam: 100% polyether
Fabric around cradle: 100% breathable polyester
Legs: Wood (beech) and steel, feet are made out of TPE plastic
Canopy: 100% polyester
All fabrics used in this product are gentle against your child’s skin and safe to chew or suck on. They have been tested and approved in accordance with Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 Class I for baby products. This means that the textiles are free from health-hazardous substances and allergens.
Yes, the BabyBjörn Cradle includes the mattress and mattress cover. It complies with existing mattress standards and has been developed in consultation with pediatricians. A thin mattress is safer than a thicker one.
Please note: Only use the BabyBjörn mattress that comes with this product. It has been tested with the cradle itself to the highest standards of safety.
We also developed an organic cotton sheet that is tailored to fit the mattress, which can be bought as an accessory.
The cradle’s outer fabric is easy to remove by opening three zips. Machine-wash the fabric separately in warm water (100° F/40° C). The mattress is machine washable in hot water (140° F/60° C). You can either remove the mattress fabric or leave it on during washing.
Please use a gentle, bleach-free detergent. Do not tumble dry. The cradle framework and other details can be wiped using a cloth and gentle, all-purpose cleaner.
The canopy is an accessory for BabyBjörn Cradle which is sold separately. It provides a cozy shelter for your baby. The canopy can also be used as a mosquito and insect net, since you can wrap it all the way around the cradle.
It is easy to attach the canopy to the cradle by clipping it to the edge – no tools are needed.
The canopy fabric is machine washable in warm water (100° F/40°C). Simply remove the fabric from the frame and place in the washing machine. Please use a gentle, bleach-free detergent. Do not tumble dry.
Yes. All materials in this product meet the requirements for OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, Class 1 for baby products. This means they are kind to your baby’s skin and safe to taste.
Our tests show that the baby crib can be used for up to 55 lbs.
Our baby crib has been designed for use by children up to the age of 2.
We recommend that you use the crib in the highest position for newborns and until your baby starts pushing up on their hands and feet. You should then change to the lowest position for safety reasons.
Both the mattress cover and the crib fabric are machine washable at 104°F. The mattress cover can be tumble dried, but the crib fabric should not (it dries quickly, though). To remove the fabrics, you will need a zipper tool, which is located in a small pocket on the underside of the crib. The mattress foam should be washed by hand.
The baby crib weighs only 22 lbs
Crib (W x L x H): 22.5 x 43.5 x 30.5 in
Mattress: 21 x 41 x 2.5 in
Mattress protection: 21 x 41 x 0.75 in
Highest position, top of mattress: 19 in from the floor
Lowest position, top of mattress: 7.5 in from the floor
Folded: 22.8 x 42 x 4.3 in
The crib is easy to assemble and consists of only eight parts. Thanks to its convenient click-in solution, the frame is very easy to assemble. Installation instructions can be found in the operating manual. The only tool you need is the supplied zipper tool, which is located in a separate pocket on the underside of the crib.
BabyBjörn Baby Crib is suitable for newborns and up to approximately the age of 2.
The fitted sheet is made from soft, organic cotton.
All our materials meet the requirements for OEKO-TEX Standard 100, Class 1 for baby products. This means they are kind to your baby’s skin and safe to taste.
We recommend using a BabyBjörn Fitted Sheet, which has been specially designed for the BabyBjörn Baby Crib. It fits the dimensions of the mattress and ensures a snug fit. The fitted sheet also has elastic around the edges, which makes changing the sheet easy. It is approved in accordance with OEKO-TEX Standard 100, Class 1.
Our fitted sheet is easy to remove and can be machine-washed on 140˚F. Do not tumble dry.
BabyBjörn offers three different types of cribs for different needs.
BabyBjörn Baby Crib is a cozy, safe and lightweight 2-in-1 crib to use in the home for newborns and up to approximately the age of 2.
BabyBjörn Travel Crib is a flexible crib that is perfect for traveling. It is lightweight and easy to set up and fold down. Suitable for newborns and up to approximately the age of 3.
BabyBjörn Cradle is suitable for newborns and up to approximately the age of six months.
Unlike traditional baby cribs with hard slats, our baby crib has soft, airy mesh sides. This means that your baby gets good airflow and there is no need to worry about the risk of them bumping their head or getting their arms and legs caught between the slats. The crib is also easy to assemble, stable and lightweight and easy to move around the home.
Top bar: Steel
Crib textile: 100% polyester
Mattress protection, cover: 70% polyester, 30% cotton
Mattress protection: 50% polyester and 50% polyurethane
Mattress foam: Polyester foam
Mattress bottom: Fiberboard (MDF), Class E1
Legs: Oiled birch
Foot bar: Coated steel
We have worked with safety experts to develop our baby crib. Instead of hard slats that your baby can bump into, our baby crib has soft mesh sides that create good airflow. The specially tailored mattress is integrated into the sides of the baby crib, reducing the risk of your baby getting caught between the slats or under the mattress. In addition, all materials that come into contact with your baby's skin comply with OEKO-TEX Standard 100, Class 1 for baby products, which means they are super gentle and safe to taste.
The crib complies with the following safety standards:
Baby crib in upper position complies with: 16 CFR /ASTM F
Baby crib in lower position complies with: 16 CFR /ASTM F406
The zipper can only be opened and closed by an adult using the included zipper tool.
No. The attachment only works on our cradle, not on our baby crib.
-----------------------------------------
Our small baby bib is designed for babies aged 4–10 months.
The BabyBjörn Baby Bib is specifically designed for young babies. Its size means that your baby can move their arms freely and there’s no risk of the bib getting caught under the edge of the table. The super-soft neckband is fully adjustable as your child grows.
The bib is designed to fit children from around four months of age.
You can hand wash all bibs with a non-abrasive sponge or in the dishwasher. Avoid putting the bib too close to the dishwasher's heating element by using the top shelf.
There is no age limit to the Soft Baby Bib. Rather, we recommend you stop using once the neck band no longer fits comfortably on your child. For some kids this can be as early as 18 months, while others can continue to fit until 2 or 3 years old.
The Soft Bib is made out of food-safe polypropylene (PP) and thermoplastic elastomers (TPE).
The plastic is food grade and meets plastic safety requirements in both Europe (EEC) and the U.S. (FDA). The product is PVC-free and does not contain bisphenol A (BPA), phthalates, cadmium, lead or bromine. The plastic is also recyclable.
The production of current model of Soft Bib is BPA-free.
We do not recommend sterilizing or boiling your Plate, Spoon, Bib, Cup, or Fork. The maximum temperature they can withstand is 194°F, and if you overheat the material you risk damaging or deforming the products. We recommend that you wash your BabyBjörn feeding items before you use them with a mild dish soap and non-abrasive sponge or in the dishwasher.
The edges of the spoon, fork and plate are made from Polypropylene (PP), and the rubber ring on the base of the plate is made from Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE). The inside of the plate is made from Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS).
All BabyBjörn kitchen products are made from food-safe plastics and meet the applicable plastic safety requirements in both Europe and the USA. They are PVC-free and contain no Bisphenol A (BPA), phthalates, cadmium, lead or bromide. The plastic is also recyclable.
You can hand wash the fork, spoon, and plate with a non-abrasive sponge or in the dishwasher. Avoid putting all kitchen products too close to the dishwasher's heating element by using the top shelf.
Our best tip for making your BabyBjörn Baby Plate, Spoon and Fork last longer is to use them together. The spoon and fork are specifically designed to be used with the plate and are perfect for a young child to use. Do not use with metal silverware since this could scratch the bottom of the plate.
Wash BabyBjörn Baby Plate, Spoon and Fork with a mild dish soap and a non-abrasive sponge. Do not boil or sterilize. We recommend a maximum temperature of 194°F.
Absolutely! We designed our feeding products specifically for your child to learn to eat on their own.
The plate’s three-leafed clover shape makes it easier for babies to scoop up the food instead of chasing it around on the plate. The rubber ring on the base of the plate makes it steadier on the table. The rounding of the edges makes it difficult for small hands to grip the plate and toss it aside, keeping your kitchen clean.
The short handles of the spoon and the fork are easy for small hands to grip and fit just as well in both the right hand and the left hand. The bowl of the spoon is shaped like the plate and makes it easier for babies to scoop up the food onto the spoon.
You can hand wash the fork, spoon, and plate with a non-abrasive sponge or in the dishwasher. Avoid putting all kitchen products too close to the dishwasher's heating element by using the top shelf.
Your child can start using the cup from around 8 months as his/her first cup (child development is however individual and the age can therefore vary a bit). The cup’s grip-friendly shape and surface make it easy for small hands to lift and hold, while a big foot with a rubber ring on the base makes the cup stable and hard to knock over.
TIP: An adult can feed baby from the cup/hold the cup in the beginning and when the baby begins to get interested and has the motor skills to hold the cup, it becomes natural for the baby to do it himself/herself. Baby will love experimenting in the beginning and by filling small amounts at a time, spills will be a natural part of learning.
The cup is made out of food-safe polypropylene (PP) and thermoplastic elastomers (TPE).
The plastic is food grade safe and meets plastic safety requirements in both Europe (EEC) and the U.S. (FDA). The product is PVC-free and does not contain bisphenol A (BPA), phthalates, cadmium, lead or bromine. The plastic is also recyclable.
We at BabyBjörn want you to know that you have chosen a product that is both functional and safe. We are beginning to label our plastic products “BPA-free” so that you can rest at ease.
You can wash the cup by hand with a gentle dish soap and non-abrasive sponge or in the dishwasher. Be sure to use the top rack of the dishwasher, far from the heating element.
